This year, the Gold Award was presented to Kush K. Shah. ASQ Greater Detroit Section nominated past Chair Kush Shah for ESD Gold Award, which subsequently passed a substantial and detailed application process, as well as a vote by the past ESD Affiliate Council Chairs. The Gold Award is the ESD Affiliate Council’s most prestigious distinction. This award is given to an individual who is collectively upheld by the council for his or her outstanding contributions to the fields of science and engineering.
Kush joins a legacy of outstanding engineers and technical professionals, as the 43rd recipient. This reflects very well for ASQ Greater Detroit Section and quality professionals. The last time a quality professional was recognized for this award was in 1982 – Dr. Hans Bajaria.
Per Kush, “Leaders and volunteers of ASQ Greater Detroit Section have significantly contributed to my professional growth so thank you for all your assistance. I am strongly committed to continued success of ASQ Greater Detroit Section.”
