Steven Sibrel is a business process improvement trainer, coach and auditor with over 35 years of experience in the business and manufacturing world. He is currently working as Principal Supplier Quality Engineer at Harman International, a manufacturer of audio and infotainment systems for consumer, professional, and automotive industries, with well known brands such as JBL, Lexicon, Crown, Infinity, Mark Levinson, Becker and Harman-Kardon. Previous to this he held a number of engineering and management positions in diverse industries at Applied Materials (Semiconductor), NEC (Telecommunications) and Texas Instruments (Military). He has been the chair for Professional Development for the ASQ Detroit section since 2008 a. He received the Distinguished Service Award in 2008 and the Leadership Award in 2013 from ASQ. He has conducted over 200 supplier audits in 14 countries. He is an adjunct facility member at Macomb Community College. Current ASQ Certifications held are Six Sigma Black Belt, Quality Engineer, Quality Inspector, Quality Auditor, and Manager of Quality/ Organizational Excellence.
Auditing Experience:
He has conducted over 200 2nd and 3rd party audits of suppliers for electronics, chemicals, metal fabrication, plastics, and machined parts. The audits have been performed in the USA and numerous other counties including Mexico, England, Ireland, Scotland, Germany, Italy, Malta, Japan, S. Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and China. Examples of Industries supported are Military, Telecommunications, Semiconductor, Medical, Automotive and Energy.

Served as Member of Board of Examiners for Quality Texas and UT/CPE Malcolm Baldrige Award.
Healthcare Experience:
He has functioned as a Six Sigma/Lean Quality Improvement Coach with the Michigan IPIP (Improving Performance in Practice) Program for the Healthcare. Activities included working with a Healthcare team to develop protocols, metrics and performance targets, process flow analysis, training in PDCA problem solving methods, and auditing of medical data and processes.
