Member Profile: Tom Schoenfeldt
Tom I. Schoenfeldt founded Schoenfeldt Services, Inc. in l998 as a consulting firm that helps companies reach their long-term goals through Training, Project Management, Quality System Development, and Supplier Management.
His work of more than 25 years in a variety of industries in the US and SE Asia has given him a well-rounded understanding of business and how each area looks at relationships. He is an active Member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AICHE) and an active Senior Member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and the Customer Supplier Division of ASQ and holds offices in both organizations. He has also presented a variety of papers internationally to top Quality organizations
He is on the Board of Directors of the Angileri Quality Institute and the Business Advisory Committee for the School of Business at Madonna University, Livonia, MI, since l997. He was the Chair of the Planning Committee for Michigan Quality 2000 and continues as co-chair on the committee of this annual statewide Quality Conference.
Since 1998, he has served on the Board of Examiners for the Michigan Quality Council (MQC), based on Malcolm Baldrige criteria, and is now on the Training Team for the Examiners, and is Chairing MQC's planning committee for their annual Sharing Conference. Additionally he is serving as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Quality Departments of Madonna University and Schoolcraft College in Livonia, MI and Macomb Community College in Warren, MI. He has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University and has continued his education both formally and informally throughout his life.
