Member Profile: Glinda Mantyk
Glinda Mantyk, CRE, CQE, CQA, & CQT is a Senior Member of ASQ, Chair Elect for the Greater Detroit Section, and Assistant Vice-Chair for Certified Quality Technician (CQT) Refresher Courses being held at Macomb Community College. Currently working as APQP Quality Engineer at Continental Plastics in Fraser, MI, Glinda has enjoyed working in a variety of quality fields over a 20-year spread - automotive, nuclear power plants and as contractor for the US Navy weapon systems.
“Education is power that no one can ever take away from you” was a comment from a loving Grandfather heard often growing up. The item that attracted Glinda to the Greater Detroit Section of ASQ was their commitment and dedication to continuing education. Introduction to the Greater Detroit Section was through a CQT Refresher Course being offered at Macomb College as a requirement for work. CQT soon led to CQE that in turn led to CRE and so on. Glinda enjoys currently working with instructors and students in coordinating the CQT Refresher Courses at MMC in addition to attending classes.
