Member Profile: Rajinder Kapur
If you have tested for an ASQ Certification in the Detroit Area in the past 10-15 years than you've probably had the pleasure of meeting Rajinder Kapur Ph.D. As the Detroit Section's Education Chair from since 1998, Rajinder is both an avid teacher and student. As a teacher he has helped to grow the Refresher Course offerings for Detroit Section from 3 to 9 out of the now 12 Certifications that ASQ has. As a student he is one of six individuals worldwide that has passed all 10 of ASQ's certifications. And we can't say for sure but it is speculated that the most recent 2 certifications were introduced just to see if Rajinder was up to the challenge.
Rajinder's biggest challenge and proudest accomplishment is what he calls life. After having grown up in India, attending Panjab and Kurukshetra Universities, Rajinder came to the United States and planted new roots starting with the University of Michigan. Rajinder built his career in Quality that grew from a Parts Technician to Director of Corporate Quality. As a professional, Rajinder prides himself most in being able to represent the end customer within the internal operations of the companies for which he has served.
