Member Value #2: Certification Refresher Courses
For over 30 years the Greater Detroit Section has served members seeking ASQ Certification with educational programs and support aimed at helping members prepare for and achieve the coveted certification. During this time, more than 3000 members have attended our courses and we are proud to have contributed to the success of so many Quality Professionals. Currently about one-third of the Greater Detroit Section has at least one certification, with more than half of those who are certified possessing multiple certifications.

If you are a Regular, Senior or Fellow ASQ Member, we are looking for you to become an ASQ Mentor. As a continuous improvement process, we would like you to take a Student, or another ASQ Member that needs to be guided and take them under your wing. Show them all of the ASQ membership opportunities, take them to a monthly meeting and let them start their networking process. Show them how to get registered in a certification course to advance their career and gain knowledge. Try to show our ASQ brothers and sisters that we do care and are willing to help them. Continue to be at their side if they do not succeed and help them to get back on their feet. In the next Quality Herald, and December's eCommunications - eNewsletter, there will be an ASQ Mentor registration form available. During the month of November, please send and update your email, and send it to ASQ Headquarters.
