The 2014 Gold Award Banquet, sponsored by the Engineering Society of Detroit (ESD) and its Affiliate Council is an opportunity for societies to honor their outstanding members. Hundreds of professionals representing 95 ESD Affiliated Technical Societies come together to recognize outstanding members for contributions to the betterment of our future and for leaving their mark on their respective industries. The event demonstrates that Michigan will continue to be the engine that powers the balance of the nation through a determined, dedicated and talented technical workforce. The event was held Thursday March 6, 2014, at the Troy Marriott. It included the 2014 Gold Award, Affiliate Society Awards and the Order of the Engineer Ring Ceremony. The 1st place winner of Future City, St. John Lutheran School in Rochester was also featured.
